Urban v Rural

I compiled this list of the fifty largest cities in the United States, and went to CNN's Election Results Page and noted the county results of those cities. (Note, three of the cities on this list are not located within a county, and two of the cities straddle more than one county. I've noted these where possible.)

Out of the fifty largest cities in America, Bush carried 16 of them, Kerry took 34. Basically, Kerry won 2/3 of the cities, while Bush took the other 1/3. In a dozen of the cities, Kerry received at least 2/3 of the popular vote. Of Bush's 16, there is only one city where he carried 2/3 of the vote (Colorado City).

I'm not statistics or demographics wizard. I don't know what this means, if anything. Just thought it was interesting....
